1. New Umrah rules for zaeeren
Only license
holder travel companies registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs can
organize Umrah packages.
Agents must sign
service agreements with pilgrims.
A
government-appointed committee can now handle complaints.
2: How to Apply
for an Umrah
one must consult
a licensed agent to apply
IMPORTANT:
Direct applications are not accepted from individuals.
3. Documents Needed:
A valid passport that is at least six months old
b. Two current, passport-sized pictures
c. Verified tickets for return travel
Certificates of vaccination d.
e. Confirmed reservations at hotels in Madinah and Makkah
f. Travel health insurance (coverage of at least €30,000)
4. E-Booking and Visa System
All Umrah visas
are now electronic (e-visas).
Your travel agent
will apply through the official Saudi portal.
You must use the
Nusuk platform to book hotels, transportation, and visa services.
Saudi authorities
have introduced a smart wristband for pilgrims that tracks health and movement
during Umrah.
5. Compulsory
Vaccinations
Before applying,
make sure you are vaccinated for:
a: Meningitis
ACWY (at least 10 days before travel)
b: Polio
(certificate valid for 6 months)
c: Flu and Yellow
Fever (if required for your region or season)
Entry and exit
dates are strictly enforced, and overstaying is not allowed.
6. Preventing
Visa Misuse
Pilgrims must
travel in approved groups and sign an affidavit promising not to misuse their
stay (e.g., begging).
